Terms of Service

By accessing or using Lettuce Travel (“Lettuce,” “the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including trip organizers, trip members, and visitors.

Lettuce Travel is a group trip planning platform that helps friends and groups coordinate travel together. The Service includes:

• Itinerary planning: creating and managing trip segments, destinations, activities, and logistics.
• Group decisions: proposing options, voting, and locking in choices for lodging, activities, and more.
• Expense tracking: recording shared costs, calculating splits, and tracking who owes whom.
• Bookings management: storing reservation details, confirmation codes, and provider information.
• Member coordination: inviting members via link, tracking participation status, and managing trip roles.

Lettuce Travel is a planning and coordination tool. We do not process payments, book travel, or act as a travel agency. Any financial transactions between trip members (settling expenses, collecting deposits) occur outside of Lettuce Travel and are solely between the parties involved.

To use Lettuce Travel, you must create an account by providing a display name and email address. You may join via an invite link (verified by a one-time email passcode) or by registering directly with a password.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information during registration.
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials and email access.
• All activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

“User Content” means any information you submit to Lettuce Travel, including trip details, itineraries, activities, votes, comments, expense records, booking references, and profile information.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting content to Lettuce Travel, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or account, except where retention is required by law or to preserve shared trip records.

Content you contribute to a shared trip (expenses, votes, activity suggestions) becomes part of the group's collaborative record. If you leave a trip or delete your account, your contributions may be anonymized rather than removed to preserve the integrity of shared data for remaining members.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Impersonate another person or create an account using someone else's identity.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users through trip content or communications.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or trip data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our written permission.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to harm the Service or other users.
• Circumvent rate limits or security measures implemented in the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, with or without notice.

Lettuce Travel is designed for group collaboration. When you participate in a trip, other trip members can see:

• Your display name and profile photo.
• Your votes and comments on group decisions.
• Expenses you record and your share of group costs.
• Activities and itinerary items you create or are assigned to.
• Your participation status for trip segments.

Trip organizers have additional visibility into booking details, deposit tracking, and member management.

By joining a trip, you acknowledge and consent to this shared visibility. If you do not wish to share information with a particular group, do not join that trip.

Lettuce Travel provides expense tracking and split calculation tools to help groups manage shared costs. Lettuce Travel does not process, facilitate, or guarantee any financial transactions.

Expense records, deposit tracking, and settlement suggestions are informational tools only. Actual payments between trip members are conducted outside of Lettuce Travel through means agreed upon by the parties.

We are not responsible for disputes between trip members regarding expenses, deposits, or payments. The accuracy of financial data entered by users is the responsibility of those users.

The Lettuce Travel service, including its design, code, branding, logos, and documentation, is owned by Plurality LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

“Lettuce Travel” and the Lettuce logo are trademarks of Plurality LLC. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

Lettuce Travel may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., booking provider URLs, Google Maps locations). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Lettuce Travel is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• The information provided through the Service will be accurate or complete.
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Plurality LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Lettuce Travel, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plurality LLC from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
